Appearance: Dark Cream in colour
Aroma: Damp earth, heather, aromatic
Flavour: Medium to rich with strong malt notes. Has a sharpish taste to back of throat which is consistent with high UMF honeys
HIVE LOCATION: Central Waikato
There are often noticeable sub regional differences in the appearance and taste of Manuka honeys. For example honeys sourced from the Far North of New Zealand are often a rich brown colour where as honeys from Taranaki may be a paler cream colour.
